Elysha Phillpotts
Physiotherapist, MScPT, BKin, Owner at Lifted Lifestyle
At 12 years old, while competing as a provincial-level gymnast, I broke both arms from a fall off the uneven bars. As a competitive athlete, injuries were considered a part of the gig, as was my time seeing a physiotherapist. I have experienced the grueling recovery process first hand, and have seen what good and effective treatment looks like.
I thought I got into this profession to help people recover from their injuries, as my physiotherapist helped me. Over the past 11+ years, I have spent in this career, I have come to realize that my true passion lies in knowledge translation, and empowering people to understand how to help themselves through a holistic perspective.
I understand that pain is far more complex than the issues that arise from the physical tissue structures. To develop effective, compassionate, and curated treatment plans extends beyond the narrow lens of the musculoskeletal system. We need to consider the whole person and their individual differences and belief systems. My passion and expertise lies in developing an understanding of each individual person who walks through the door by listening to their unique story. My treatment plan and assessments are built around the principles of active listening, compassion, understanding and education around how the body and all of its systems work together.
In addition to offering a broad spectrum approach to pain and tissue recovery, I have a special interest in treating women's health concerns. Our current medical system is swamped, overworked and exhausted. So I often find women and mothers' put their needs secondary, and sometimes their concerns are dismissed by the system. As a busy mom of two young children, I can empathize with the numerous demands placed on mothers. Which is why I have extended my services and take special interest in helping to treat some of these common concerns that are often overlooked. Because we (mothers) deserve to be heard, seen and cared for, like we do for others.

Adam Chang
Physiotherapist, MScPT, BKin, Owner at Lifted Lifestyle
My passion for understanding how the human body moves started when I was a child athlete. Today, that passion fuels my work as a physiotherapist and my mission to help my clients make the most of their bodies.
Many of my clients have awkward body mechanics and often complain of pains they've carried around with them for years or even decades. I'm dedicated to showing my clients how they can manage their pain so that they can live better lives. I believe that no one should be constrained by their physical limitations.
Today, I love providing customized fitness programs to my clients to bridge the gap between where they are and where they'd like to be. I especially enjoy using a combination of manual therapy and exercise programs to help my clients get stronger.
I believe life is about enjoying the journey but also looking forward to the destination.
